“In late 2017 we decided to list our home in Altadena after living there for 23 years. We had already spoken to two other realtors, one a local "specialist" in our neighborhood. They both came to our home with two inch thick books of fluff about how their firm could get the best price for our home.
We were unimpressed. Thick presentation books and corporations do not sell homes, people sell homes.
We took a chance on a flyer we got in the mail from John and Dan and rang them up. They did not show up with a thick book. They toured our home and asked, "can we come back in a week?" They held an open house for neighbors (after sending out flyers to the neighborhood), a very smart thing to do. They took a drone video and professional photographs of the house which ended up on a dedicated website they had built.
In short, they did an unbelievable job of MARKETING our home, which is what selling is all about, right? Their communication during the process was also unbelievable, We never had to wonder "what's going on?" because they were on the phone or texting us whenever there was a development.
After sixty days on the market and no offers, we had a low ball offer that we rejected. We got nervous! Was our price too high? Dan and John said no, it's not too high, you just have to wait for the right buyer. About ten days later the right buyer appeared and the home sold for just 2.8% less than the asking price.
John and Dan are the best! They came up with a plan, stuck with it, pulled out all of the marketing stops at their disposal, and communicated with us every step of the way. We are extremely pleased to this day. If you have a home to sell in their territory, give them a call!”
